Brexit vote LIVE: Boris faces showdown in Commons over no deal

Boris Johnson is facing the largest showdown since becoming prime minister this evening as rebel MPs seek to wrestle control back in the House of Commons.
Remainers seek to pass a bill to halt a no deal Brexit in its tracks after Mr Johnson decide to prorogue Parliament from 9th September to 14 October.
This would mean MPs lose vital time to discuss and pass any laws to prevent a no deal before the Halloween deadline for the UK to exit the EU.
