Three fire crews were called to the scene at 11:30am Saturday morning, a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.

Firefighters found the person inside the east Sheffield property and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed and bus services were rerouted for several hours while investigations took place.
