Murder investigation launched in South Wales

South Wales Police have launched a murder investigation after an incident in Llys Graig Y Wion, Pontypridd

Police were called to the incident at about 8:10am on Sunday morning.

A murder investigation has now been launched after a 38-year-old woman died as a result of injuries sustained and a 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.

Police, including armed officers, have been at several scenes during the day.

Senior Investigating Officer DCI Darren George, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “At this moment in time we are not currently looking for anybody else in connection with this matter and I would like to thank the local community for their patience throughout today.”
