Police are releasing images of two men they want to trace following a shooting incident in Tower Hamlets earlier this year.

The incident happened at approximately 07:30hrs on Sunday, 24 March in Killick Way, E1.

A firearm was discharged at a residential property causing damage to the exterior.

While no one was injured in the incident, the occupants were left shaken.

Police were called and an investigation was launched. As a result of CCTV analysis, the images of two men suspected to have been involved in the incident were recovered.

Detective Inspector Matt Webb of Trident, Specialist Crime North, said:“I am appealing to the public to help us identify the two men shown in these images.

“A firearm was discharged in a public place and while thankfully no one was injured, this was a dangerous and reckless act.

"The images being released are clear and I believe someone looking at them will recognise the men pictured.

"I would ask anyone with information to come forward and assist us in bringing these dangerous individuals to justice.

“I would like to reassure anyone who provides information, that your details will be treated in the utmost confidence.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Trident officers on 020 8345 4181 or tweet information to @MetCC.

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
